Q: Why do I need to get an Activation Code?
A: The Inside Tract™ Floor Plans and Reference Guide programs are subscriptions. When you input your Activation Code, the program becomes activated and is be allowed to function during the entire length of your subscription period. When you first install your program, the program will be active for a brief period to allow you to get valuable information and input your Activation Code. During this period, a "Temporary Activation" dialog box will appear each time you start your program. This dialog box will remind you of how many days you have left before your program becomes inactive. We encourage everyone to "activate" their program as soon as possible. There is no advantage to delaying "activating" your program as it will not extend your service. On the contrary, delaying it may cause interruptions that may cost you in lost time and possibly lost revenue.
Q: What is my Temporary Activation period?
A: Your Temporary Activation period is 15 days. At the beginning of each session you will see a Temporary Activation dialog box which will remind you have how many days left you have in your "Temporary Activation Period." If you fail to activate your program during this period, the program will cease to function. It will become operational again, once you input your Activation Code.

A: Yes, but there may be an extra charge. Please call us.
Q: May I install the entire CD on my hard drive?
A: Yes. The latest version (Floor Plans 6) can read The Inside Tract files from your hard drive. Simply copy folders o2 and o3 from your CD-ROM to the Floor Plans 6 directory in your Program Files (approximately 640 megabytes of free space is required).
Q: Will the Floor Plan program run on a Network?
A: The CD program is not designed to run on a network.
Q: Will my Activation Code be the same for my second computer?
A: No. Each computer must have its own activation code.
Q: Can you give me my second code even though I don't have my second computer yet?
A: No. You must install the program before we can give you your code. Then a serial number will appear. The serial number is not your control number. We use this serial number to determine the activation code.
Q: I just installed a new hard drive. My program doesn't run now. What do I do?
A: When you installed the new hard drive, you removed our program which included the serial number. In fact, you now have a new serial number. Please contact us, or fill out the registration form again, and fax it to us.

Q: I have lost my Installation Instructions. How do I get another?
A: See online instructions.
Q: I'm having trouble copying a floor plan and pasting it.
A: When viewing a floor plan there is a row of buttons on the left side of the screen. The second from the bottom is the "Copy" button. Hold your mouse pointer over it and a dialog box will appear. This universal "copy" button, when clicked, appears to do nothing. In reality, the floor plan is put into the memory part of your operating system. This is all part of Windows®, not our program. You must open a new program to "Paste" the floor plan to. The program can be Microsoft Word, Publisher, Corel Draw, Picture Publisher, WordPad, etc. Just look for the brown clip board Icon or click on edit and "Paste".
Q: My screen show a "Device" not ready message. What does it mean?
A: When you first put the CD-ROM into the drive, it takes a few seconds for the computer to recognize and associate it with the particular program. If you wait a few seconds before clicking on the "Floor Plan" Icon on your desktop to start the program, it should eliminate the problem.
